Welcome to the 3rd
payfair newsletter

Dear Readers, it is my
pleasure providing you
with our third newsletter
today. The last 11 months,
since I joined payfair, has
been a most fulfilling
experience. payfair is
indeed in a unique
position due to its status
as an Exempt Financial Service provider or Payment Scheme, its strong
recognition as "the new SEPA compliant payment scheme" in Europe, the support by authorities on EU and a national level and its experienced and
motivated staff. Recent developments have
proven that payfair is well positioned and
making headway in establishing itself as a
new force in the market.

It is amazing to see what the Company has
achieved during 2011 and the number of
milestones that have been achieved,
graduating from a start- up and "power
point" company to a real operational
organisation providing a wider range of
products and services to both corporate
customers i.e. issuers, and retail customers.

The Gift Card Belgium
- powered by payfair
is officially launched

We are delighted to announce that our
partnership with Fidelsys has now
seen a first tangible result through the
launch of a new gift card concept in
Belgium. On December 6th both
organisations jointly issued the
following press release:

A marketing solution for merchants,
activated using their existing payment
terminal, without the need for any
complex technical changes.

The co-operation between Fidelsys
and payfair offers merchants, as
well as consumers, new payment
and loyalty solutions with more
convenience and higher efficiency.

European Payment Solutions, a
Belgian company, started the payfair
initiative in 2007. payfair is the new
European payment scheme offering
consumers, merchants and banks
innovative, user-friendly and fast
payment solutions. payfair is
compatible with the new European
SEPA requirements (Single Euro
Payments Area) and is fully aligned
with the objectives of the European
authorities regarding the development
of electronic payments. At present
payfair is already implemented in
all payment terminals in Belgium.
The system is also in use for the
acceptance of the new e-luncheon
vouchers from E-kena and Monizze,
and thanks to payfair, there is now
easy access to the loyalty solution
developed by Fidelsys. Additional
new and innovative solutions via the
payfair network are planned for
release in the immediate future.

Electronic Luncheon Vouchers
- a reality in Belgium

Payfair together with its issuing partners
Monizze and E-kena lead the
development of the electronic luncheon
vouchers market in Belgium.
In the fall of 2010 the Belgian
government approved the launch of
electronic luncheon vouchers and now
they have become a reality. payfair is
instrumental in the move from paper to
digital since 2 new operators in this
sector – Monizze and E-kena - will
issue e meal vouchers exclusively on
a payfair platform.

Monizze - E-Kena

In Belgium 1,3 million employees
receive paper luncheon vouchers as
an addition to their salary and more than
250 million paper vouchers are issued
every year! This results in a heavy
administrative burden – for employers,
employees and retailers – with
significant costs and inefficiencies as
a consequence.
