What are e-Luncheon Vouchers?

An e-voucher is the electronic version of
our luncheon voucher, however instead of
20 or more paper luncheon vouchers you
receive one card with the relevant amount
on it programmed through the memory
chip. This is so much easier, safer and
environementally friendly for both the
issuer (employer) and the employees.

 

e-luncheon vouchers using payfair may be
accepted in major restaurant/store chains
over the coming months - a full list will be
available on the website soon.

Electronic Luncheon Vouchers
- implementation by payfair

 

You've probably already heard - through
the press - that electronic meal vouchers
are already a reality in Belgium, now that
the various issuers of electronic meals -
led by Monizze and E-kena - have
obtained their type-approval from the
relevant Ministers.

 

The well known operators in this market
(Sodexo and Edenred) continue to issue
'paper' luncheon/meal vouchers,
however there are now two new
operators in this sector, which has long
aspired to greater competition:

 

Monizze and E-kena.

 

These new challengers will only issue
electronic e-luncheon vouchers. You can
find more information about these new
entrants on their respective websites at
www.monizze.be and www.e-kena.be.

 

For their connection to merchants'
acceptance terminals these new
alternatives use the payfair network,
the new European payment scheme
compatible with the new SEPA rules
(Single Euro Payments Area). More
